A 75-year-old Brentwood man is dead after he was hit by a car Friday, according to Suffolk County police. (Shutterstock)BRENTWOOD, NY — A man is dead after police said he was hit by a car in Brentwood on Friday.Suffolk County police said a 32-year-old woman was driving a 2021 Acura RDX northbound on Wicks Road when the vehicle hit a pedestrian in the roadway at the intersection of Merrill Street. The accident happened around 6:30 p.m., police said.The pedestrian, identified as 75-year-old Jose Cruz of Brentwood, was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.
